I've used Alaskan for several years now and have always had a good experience with them. I purchased a service contract with them and pre-paid for two years. Unfortunately, I purchased a new unit from a different vendor due to the fact that it was about 20% cheaper due to a veteran's discount and I needed to save some money. This is my mistake. When inevitably I started having issues, I called Alaskan to come take a look as my service contract was supposed to transfer. I spoke with the branch manager this morning who refused to take a look at my unit even though I was willing to pay for labor or charges. While I understand their position, and agree that this is my problem to deal with and that I need to get it fixed with the other company, I was very disappointed by how this was handled. I've been a loyal customer for several years now and have referred friends and family to them. I've requested a pro-rated refund of my prepaid service contract, which hopefully comes through and
