We recently had our roof re-done because our existing roof was 25 years old and on its last legs. Scott Roofing was much more thorough than their competition in providing an estimate and explained in full detail everything they planned to do down to the smallest detail, and helpfully addressed all of our concerns and questions. The work was scheduled for ~6 months out due to their full schedule, but luckily we were fine waiting that long. When the time for the actual work came, a few things caught us by surprise: a dumpster needed to be parked in front of our house for a week which we had to seek short-notice HOA approval for, and there was some unexplained downtime for several days in the middle of the job while they had to special-order some parts (which wasn't communicated to us, leading us to wonder what the status was).
