Temperature Control, Inc. A/C & Heating - Tucson, AZ

I am at my wit's end. 4 years go, I replaced an old A/C unit with a new one, for a total of $12,000, through a company called Temperature Control. The A/C gave out last night, so I called Temp Control - not too worried since I knew that my unit was under a 10-year warranty (for parts), with a 25% discount for labor. I was just quoted $3,433 for labor to repair the unit, with alternate suggestions of buying a new unit at $10,500 and up. I am devastated and feel totally taken advantage of. I have dealt with Temperature Control since 2012, which is when I bought my house. I know my unit was rather expensive, so I thought that at least I was covered for the next 10+ years. Their excuse is that if I bought the unit I currently have today, I would pay $27,000 for it - really??? I am working for a nonprofit, and to drop another $11K for a NEW unit, 4 years after I bought a brand new one with a 10-year warranty! - is absurd! It is also not an option. Sometimes people as well as companies can have bad days. The leadership at TempControl turned around a poor experience and went above a beyond to fix the issue. We had a warrantied blower motor burn out. After 3.5 days with no communication from TC, we found out the part was back-ordered for 6 weeks out. Our home reached 94 degrees inside and my wife works from home. Obviously, no A/C in Arizona is no way to live. Understanding our circumstance, Jason used some outside-the-box thinking to source the part. The technician, Tyler, was professional, polite and efficient. We now have the A/C up and running! This was less than 24hrs from speaking to Jason, (who I assume is a manager based on his professionalism.) My original score would’ve been “1” for responsiveness, but I’m giving a “5” based on how well the TC team recovered and made things right. Super professional recovery, thank you so much!
