My experience with Hendrick and Young Plumbing was great! My kitchen sink was clogged and flooded. I call them and they immediately provided me a quote with same day availability. Their service technician, Jordan Halladay, came and confirmed my reported issue with me first and then explained to me the process of the inspection, repair and what to expect. After the service was completed, he explained to me in great detail of the issues found and the options for the repair. I appreciate his honesty and professionalism. In addition he provided me a very detailed comprehensive report that went over everything that was discussed. I appreciate his assistance and service especially coming in on a Father’s Day. I called Hedrick & Young Plumbing at 420pm for a semi emergency fix. They had someone at my house in 30 min. I had an earlier quote but they couldn't make it out until the following day. We had a plumber out to hook up our fridge water line that had been leaking. The plumber checked the water pressure coming into our house and we were told that it was high. The cost for the repair would have been $1485. We deferred that repair and had him fix the fridge water leak and then connect the water line to the fridge. The total cost for the visit was $385. I understand that there is a base fee to show up at the house and then any work that needs to be done will be charged on top of that, but we just felt that $385 was a little steep for a water valve replacement and then hooking up the water line to the back of our fridge. I am unsure what other plumbing businesses charge and so for all I know, that is a standard rate. The other frustrating part was that we were told that our water pressure regulator needed to be replaced because the pressure coming into our house was too high.
