AJ Heating and Colling was outstanding. I needed to install new ducting, air conditioners and heaters. Jose is the owner but manages the installation and follow up. His team was nothing less than outstanding. At the very beginning, Jose would promptly respond to my e-mails and willing to change the design. I found many other contractors wanted to just install the furnace and air conditioner. They avoided getting involve in new ducting work. Jose’s team does both. He also has excellent follow up. There was a heating vent that required a new register. Some contractors would not follow-up after the installation, but Jose’s team came back three times to get the right size. Jose addressed all my concerns during the installation. I was impressed by the level of workmanship during the installation. We needed to replace the original duct work in our '72 vintage home in Walnut Creek. One of our goals (among many) was to find a way to install a cold air return in the back of the house for comfort and to allow similar temperatures throughout the house regardless of which room we were in. We talked to four (4) very well known, high-end HVAC contractors, and only one offered a solution--AJ Heating. The other contractors stated that our cathedral ceiling prevented the installation of a cold air return in the back of the house; some of the contractors talked a good game, but couldn't deliver. Others were only partly engaged with us. On the other hand, Jose was fully engaged and interested in the work and actually he and his worker performed due diligence and thoroughly inspected our existing duct work--something the other contractors did not do (except for a cursory glance in our crawlspace).
