The owner, Michael James, has deep and extensive knowledge of electrical wiring, from new construction all the way back to early 20th century structures like my home. He has performed all sorts of work for me, from moving lighting fixtures, running electrical lines for a new oven and upgrading my entire panel to 200 amp service. He treats his customers like they are his own family. He will take time to patiently explain (and re-explain) all of your options, allowing you to make truly informed decisions on any work performed. His pricing is reasonable and he works diligently to save you as many hard earned dollars as possible. A Custom Electric is truly a class act. Highly Recommend!

I was fortunate enough to find Michael with A Custom Electric. He is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and kind. Best of all, he has work ethic and actually cares. He also had the best pricing in town!! Powell Electric tried to charge $99 just to come out and look at the problem for example!

Michael has done work now in both my restaurants and in my home. We have had other electricians in the past come in and while their work was basically "fine" insofar as the buildings never burned down, we have always felt that Michael's work really excels in the finishing details. All switches are level. Conduit is always run neatly. He's a great problem solver too and we never feel that we are paying for work that we don't need.
