Sam visited the house for a free consultation and a competitive estimate for a Daikin Ductless Mini Split System installation: one outdoor unit and multiple indoor units. A crew from Plum HVAC did a great job installing the units, including electric wiring and polished outdoor line-sets with covers. The units are very quiet. Aside from remote controls, each unit can be controlled through a phone app or Alexa. Highly recommended. Services: Heating system installation, Install AC, Ductless heating & A/C services

I would give 6 stars if I could. I found Plum HVAC from Peninsula Clean Energy's list of approved contractors for HVAC. I replaced my central heating with a heat pump. Sam, the owner, gave me a quote that almost matched two other companies quotes (one being a family member's client so that must have been a close to rock bottom price) but Sam's quote included a better quality Bryant heat pump and a slim line condenser. The first company quoted with a Day and Night and the second company offered a Gree and both would charge additional for a slim line condenser. Sam was always easy to reach if I had questions for my HOA architectural approval, permits from Foster City (the building department is very...particular), or Peninsula Clean Energy loan and rebates. I couldn't be happier with the entire process with Plum, the work, or the interaction with installers Jake and Han who were professional, polite, and very clean. Sam from Plum HVAC is professional and on point. I was pretty transparent with him about that I was gonna compare quotes from multiple vendors from the very beginning and he was very understanding of that, which I appreciate. I didn't get any less of care or service just because I might not be his customer at the outset. I compared price from 3-4 vendors, Plum came out with the highest quality brand, lowest price (another vendor literally told me that you should go with PLUM since they cannot do that price), and fastest installation. I was able to get PLUM to install the HVAC in a very short period of time before the heatwave and that make my family very happy (stay cool during the heatwave). Also, there was some additional inspect done and everything was done to code with permit sent. I also had some minor issues and Sam was super responsive to me request and came to fix it without charging me additional fees. Hands down the best service you can get for HVAC installation.
