Contacted Romano HVAC this morning requesting a diagnostic on two AC units, as well as some HVAC piping work. The Sales Manager, Juliano, was more concerned about why we were informed. I explained that I am the CEO of an industrial HVAC company with 60 years in business, and that our engineers have participated on the working groups that publish the industry standards. He kept insisting that we had spoken to another company when I explained to him that we are an educated and informed consumer. He further stated that he wanted to know precisely who his competition is so he knows how to "price" the work, meaning he is basing his estimate on the competition vs the work. He then added that they would charge us $89 to come out and diagnose the units, and then decide if they wanted to do business with us, and if we were "a good fit". It was a bizarre conversation, unprofessional, and raised several flags about the integrity and business practices of this company, despite having a few good re
