619 Roofing's negligence caused millions of dollars in damages and left 5 families homeless for the holidays. 619 Roofing was hired to replace the shingles of several townhouses in Loma Riviera Circle in San Diego. The crew was sloppy, dangerous, and negligent. With the biggest storm of the year was coming, they left the shingles off the roof and covered it with a flimsy plastic painter's tarp. That weekend, the roof leaked untold gallons of water, until the ceilings of several units collapsed. Several tenants called 619 Roofing's supposed 24-7 hotline, but it was not staffed. The slowly unfolding disaster continued over 24 hours until 619 Roofing arrived late on Monday morning, oblivious to the damage they'd caused. Once they saw the liability, they sent their crew in and tore out the ceilings and dry wall -- but without doing the proper testing first.
