Hertzfield Electric

A bit disappointing... Setup an appointment for a diswasher leak, something I diagnosed myself to be from the backpanel (5 year old Miele). Not knowing how to tackle this, I found Hertzfield on Yelp. Technician was very nice, came on time, did not need to diagnose, was pointed to the issue, and explained he would not fix it and suggested a method how to fix it myself. I still had to pay $70 for the visit. A common fee for such a practice that typically includes a diagnostic and a choice to use the company for repair or not (at which point the visit cost rolls into the repair cost or not). I'll still give stars for the courtesy, suggestion, but $70 for 5 mins, no diagnostic and no fix is a bit excessive IMO. It is my fault not to have discussed the details of the cost visit over the phone... The lesson here, make sure you always discuss upfront costs, and what they really entail.
