I called the Plumbing Ministry from a referral, and I am so glad I did. They came to inspect my sewer lateral, only to discover that a previous sewer job one year prior (by a pretend plumber) was not up to code. Image how disappointed I was over the large amount of money literally down the sewer. We used Plumbing Ministry to test the sewer lateral in preparation for the sale of our house and to obtain the compliance certificate from EBMUD. We communicated to Plumbing Ministry that this was a time sensitive matter and they went above and beyond to book appointments quickly, move up appointments whenever possible, show up on time, and respond to our communications in a timely manner, often within hours. I am not sure of the person's name who has been answering our phone calls and responding to our emails, but she was amazing at coordinating this project with us.
