Qwens Electric & Solar really helped us out replacing and installing our grid tie Solar inverters after a neighborhood transformer fire. This company was the only one that could locate our parts. There was a supply chain issue and all our phone calls to other contractors were never returned. Jeff was great and installed 2 Sunny Boy's the same day and wrote a letter for us to send to PG&E. We are thankful to have found and electrician with knowledge in the Solar Industry since so many others profess but can't perform. When our beloved 13-year-old solar electric system stopped working, I found Owens Electric online. Jeff was quick to honestly tell me how costly the repairs or replacement could be. Then right away we connected our iPhones in Facetime so he could instruct me in safely turning off the power switches, removing the fuse, and simply testing its continuity. It was blown! Jeff graciously invited me to his work site, handed me a free fuse, and sent me home to try it. Problem solved!!! The inverter and panels returned to electrifying our home from the sun's energy. For future solar or any electrical needs, my wife and I would return to Owens Electric in San Mateo right away, with lots of confidence.
I had an electrical problem at my house (no power to the furnace) and was thrilled that Jeff came right out - on a Friday afternoon no less. He fixed the problem quickly after a run to the Home Depot to get the right parts, and because the nights and mornings were so cold last week, the sound of the heater turning on was music to my ears! I will definitely call Owens Electric again the next time I have an issue that requires a professional electrician.
