Elite Rooter Ventura

I had elite rooter come in to inspect the job in the attic where a pipe was capped off by my handyman back in May. They claimed the work was done correctly and charged me $250.00 fee. Apparently the pipe started leaking at some point in the last three months and I noticed that the ceiling was wet with brown spots and water was leaking into the house. I called elite rooter as I was convinced it had to be that pipe since my roof just redone. They came in and said the work was not done right by the handy man and that it will have to be done differently, they were going to add copper pipes and put in an emergency valve by the water heater. That it was going to be a three hour job and it would cost me $1650.00 I agreed to it because they made it sound so involved and also said my pipes could burst in the attic and so out of fear I signed the bid. It turned out that they didn't add any pipes, all they did was remove the pipes causing the leak and they were done in 45mins. I really think tha

Couldn’t unclog with the snake, so proceeded to charge $1300 to use hydro jet. Which I’ve been told by two other plumbers that it should have been less than half that. Then they discovered an old part of the cast iron pipe that’s compromised and needs replacing. I was told it would be $5800. The plumber sold me pretty good on the urgency of it needing to be replaced, so I scheduled the repair for two days later. Then without my approval they proceeded to smash a hole into the side of my home. Apparently this was necessary to check pipe and fixture sizes. I’ve also been advised by the two other plumbers that this was unnecessary and is s common tactic to lock the job down. Well, I canceled the job with Elite and now have to pay someone else to fix what they started. I partly blame myself for allowing this to happen. Lesson learned. Service: Drain cleaning
