I had a really great experience with Dan at Van Wyhe Heating and AC. On a cold stormy day I tried to install a new digital thermostat myself and failed miserably. I called Dan, who answered right away and found time to come by later in the day. It turned out to be little more complex than I thought, and he was really good at explaining what was happening, and then he fixed it. Dan Van Whye is amazing! Honesty, integrity, and attention to detail are just a few of the ways he does business. Seeking our house, and the buyer's home inspector claimed our 30 year old AC system was on it's last legs. We scheduled Dan for an evaluation and sent him the home inspectors report. He assessed the system and said it was operating amazingly well, that the ways the home inspector "tested" it were not done correctly, and that he could get it working even better. I asked for a quote to replace it just to have one, and he told me he'd give me one, but that he'd feel really bad about us spending the money to replace it when it was working so well. We had him do the cleaning and maintenance and it's still running like a champ!
