Placed a call about a leaking shower head and when the plumber showed up he only had a wrench with him. The shower needed a new cartridge and he didn’t have any of the replacement parts on him. He came back 30 minutes with one and fixed the shower. However, this plumber didn’t have any caulking with him. He told us that we will have to do the caulking ourself despite our house being under warranty. How does a plumber show up to a fix without any of the proper tools?

We have used Bershinsky Plumbing for around 10 years and had always experienced good service until recently. I had a hose bib that was causing a leak under my house and called to schedule a repair. I ended up leaving a message when no one answered and waited several days with no return call before calling back. This time I was able to schedule the repair. When the plumber came out, he said that the repair would take longer than they had allotted and that he would get back to me with an estimate and to reschedule. After not hearing anything for a week, I called back and asked for the estimate. The person who took my call said that she would get back to me, but never did. I suspect the plumber didn't want to perform the work as it required working in a crawlspace, but the professional thing to do would have been to say he didn't want the job or couldn't perform that type of work and to refer me to another company.
