I had five different tasks - repair surface on hollow-tile wall, address water damage on a dry wall (small area), fix cabinet hinges, figure out small jalousie window (why did water leak during heavy rain) and waterproofing, fixing lanai sliding glass door and fix lock. John did all the work in one day, and I am very satisfied with the results. And he did not overcharge. He is a problem solver - and gave great advice and offered reasonable solutions. He is a hard worker, and very versatile. John is personable and has an enthusiastic attitude, which is nice because I have used handymen before who lack the positive attitude. Managing an older building in Waikiki is full of surprises. In a recent leak investigation I contacted John for help with opening up the walls and he was there within minutes. His attention to detail and experience saved the association thousands of $$$ since he knew exactly how to handle the situation. He didn’t have to remove the entire kitchen cabinets like most other contractors do, he worked around it and when the job was done he put everything back to original condition. John is also certified Water Restoration Technician so he brought all of his equipment and tools to remediate the water damage and had HEPA filter machines so when the job was done the unit had no construction dust. John had completed several other projects for me and I have been impressed every time. He is very creative, knowledgeable, motivated and his attention to detail is outstanding.
