MRC Roofing

MRC repaired our old roof eight years ago and just recently I needed some documentation concerning the roofing contract and warranty for that work. I called their office and guess what, they still had my file on hand and were able to provide me with the documentation that I needed within minutes. I bet most roofing companies in Hawaii couldn’t do that. Heck, I bet most roofing companies go out of business within five years and don’t keep any files. I’m so glad we chose MRC to coat our roof with silicone. We have been leak-free ever since, and our top floor stays a lot cooler than it previously was, since now the roof is reflective. Coating the roof also prevented us from having to perform a costly tear off and reroof. This was a major cost savings and has already paid for itself in lower energy costs. If you are looking for an honest and reliable roofing company that will go the extra mile for you, look no further!! I split my time between my two homes. one on the mainland, the other in Hawaii. As you can imagine, trying to find someone to repair your home from a distance can prove to be quite challenging. Two weeks ago I received a phone call from my neighbors in Hawaii, they told me that a tree had fallen and damaged my roof! Not knowing what the damage was, I made a couple of phone calls and found mike Chu at MRC roofing. I explained to Mike that I was currently on the Mainland, and that I was desperately in need of help. Without hesitation, mike offered to help me. Within two hours mike was at my home in Hawaii. He was able to face time with me and show me exactly what had been damaged, and what needed to be fixed. The very next day Mike sent his crew out, as promised. Everything is as good as new!! MRC was very thorough with our small yet very technical flat roofing problem. We had a small structural issue that was causing our eave and fascia to sag. Jon at MRC had a plan to solve the issue with a step by step plan my husband and myself were able to remedy ourselves in order to shore up the sagging roof eave before it could be reroofed with new 3-ply modified bitumen rolled roofing that tied into our steep pitched roof that has three layers on it (difficult tie-in). There were three skylights that needed to be water tightened in the process and the skylights turned out to be tricky one piece skylights that tied into the interior of the ceiling. MRC found more rotten wood than was expected in the roof decking and they were able to replace that also, at minimal charge.
