My parents had actually ordered a new hot water heater and AC unit from NW Plumbing 2 years ago and we had a great experience but today my parents had a water leak from a certain pipe to the water heater. It’s an old house and it also have old pipes. There is nothing wrong with the water heater. However, my parents were billed $450 and the technician was there for 2 hours. Part of the cost was a $59 flat fee for coming out. Most companies include this with the labor if the homeowner decides to do the work. I understand if they aren’t going by the hours. I have called the office to get a breakdown of the actual labor and materials cost and they don’t do that either. They only go by the job price and apparently to fix that small leak that was the price. For us this seems to be a very high price knowing that we bought the hot water heater from them for $1000 and this cost half of it for a pipe leak. Service: Plumbing leak detection
