When an ARI representative came to my door, at first I was skeptical. I'd had wind damage to my roof. He pointed out that most people don't know that their homeowner insurance covers wind damage, which would require that I just pay the deductible. I decided to give it a try, and filed a claim with my insurance. When the insurance inspector was to come to inspect the roof, I was to notify ARI so their certified inspector could meet and evaluate with the insurance inspector, as many insurance companies just say it's regular wear and tear, and an ARI certified inspector can point out why it was caused by wind damage. My insurance agreed to replace the roof. The guys who did the work did an excellent job. My new roof looks great. And, I only had to pay my insurance deductible.
