Oak Electric Inc

We've had Jeff and the Oak Electric crew handle many projects in our home, and we've always been happy! They are on time and friendly and do great work: small and large jobs.

Jeff and his crew were so helpful and knowledgeable. They showed up on time! They were very thourough with their explanation about what they were doing. The best thing about Oak Electric is they did not talk down to me or look at me like I was an imbecile because I used my own words instead of "electrician speak". There are so many vendors that give the " ok lady like you know what your talking about eye roll". Jeff and his crew did not do that at all and that is a great feeling to know they genuinely cared about what I was describing to them. I plan on using them when my next phase of work needs to be implemented.

Ok, so it's been a while, but I need to comment on something. I called OE before moving to Oak Park from out of state knowing the house we were looking at would need work beyond what I was comfortable doing. After they were done I noticed outlets/switches were installed crooked, which I fixed. Our dining room light has an out of plumb partially exposed box (there was not space in the existing pancake box) that I had to cover with a medallion so the angle didn't catch your eye as much. Now we ripped off the wood paneling in a bedroom, installed drywall and the 3 lights they had installed ALL of them had issues I've had to go back and fix. The overhead light, above the bed, mind you, had the globe hanging on a 1/4 turn off thread. In short, I've had to fix or cover up their lack of workmanship in every instance. And get overcharged. And have it all take well beyond every time estimate.
