Comfort Heating & Air Conditioning

I was kinda worried that AHS assigned them to us after seeing their 2.5 stars on google but our hands were tied as the only other contractor they could've sent was 3 weeks from having an opening. I have DELT with American Home Shield for several years and know how difficult they can be. Often times (but not always) contractors take the heat for AHS's poor operations and customer service, which we found to be the case here. Comfort Heat&Air came out, had parts on hand and got our A/C running again within 30 min. They even took time to clean the entire outside condenser unit to assist the A/C with future efficient operation. They went the extra mile to make sure we got the most use out of out system. I think a lot of people are rating American Home Shield and not Comfort Heating and Air. My AC went out last Friday. The only reason it didn't get fixed until today is because AHS sucks. Also, I don't know if the receptionist everyone is complaining about has been fired recently, but the lady I spoke with today couldn't have been friendlier. The two fellas who fixed my AC were on time, professional, and did the work pretty damn quick. I would definitely use them again and if anything I'm considering getting rid of AHS and going with a different warranty.

This company came to our house as part of our American home shield home warranty when our AC broke. If I could give zero stars i would. The guys who came out were nice. However they talked to me like I was an idiot. They stated that there was no refrigerant in the system. There was. They also stated that the system takes 9lbs of refrigerant. Seems excessive for such a tiny system. They charge $80 per pound of refrigerant. Our home warranty only covers $10 of that. They get this stuff at $20/lb and mark it up beyond what's reasonable. The woman I talked to at the office was absolutely rude. When asked if we could have them install the part needed but purchase our own refrigerant from someone with a reasonable price she flipped out. You can't charge people so much and then be surprised when they can't afford it. Terminated our service with them and took the cash out option from our home warranty company to purchase and install a new in it on our own. Stay away from them.
