Chris and the McDonald HVAC team are a great company. When most companies come out with a quote that is "COVID-gouging crazy", just because they can, McDonald got us a reasonable quote for a great system, professional installers and great work - and the price didn't change! We are very happy with this system. As an example "why" - by this time last year, we would have filled our heating oil a second time (almost $1,400), but we have not even had to turn on the oil system - saving almost $700 by the second month - and have only used 1/4 of the tank. We were filling once every 3 weeks or so last year at this time and all winter. We expect to have to turn on the oil heat at some point, but this is an excellent start - the spring should be just as good. We appreciate McDonald HVAC for being available, having a professional team in these poor-quality times, and for ensuring we got the right system. I’m a deaf working professional who needed my gas furnace and AC coil replaced. I reached out to McDonalds heating and cooling. They sent out a guy named Chris C to do an estimate. He told me that they could install a high efficiency gas furnace and a return intake duct. Chris advised me to apply for a mass save HEAT loan. Which was a tedious process including getting HOA approval and a bank to do the loan. Then they let me know the project manager Barry had to come and look at the job. I explained that I had a very important meeting to attend and I would be using PTO from work to make the appointment happen. They promised me they would be on time and it would work out fine. I took three hours off from work only to find out Barry was an hour late and didn’t respond to my texts asking where he was. Then when Barry showed up his guys told me they didn’t need me to be present. So I wasted three hours of valuable PTO time for nothing. My PTO is earned not given to me. Lastly, they said the
