Our basement sink was backing up whenever we used the faucet there, and the faucet in the kitchen. I called Drain and Heating Solutions, and Eddie called back promptly, letting me know he could come by between 5 and 6. When he arrived, we did a few tests to figure out the extent of the blockage, so he could pinpoint where to focus his efforts. It turned out the backup was in a primary, old iron drain, with an access screw that was rusted tightly. Eddie figured out a workaround, snaking a connected PVC pipe, and fixing the problem. Along the way, he clearly and persuasively delivered his assessment of the problem and clearly, presented potential risks --and additional costs -- of certain types of repairs. Took about 1.5 hours, at the end of his work day, and @$250. No sign of blockage/backup 3 days later, and we're back in business.
