My neighbor had them work on his gutters and when he saw that I had several companies come by and try to fix the problem it would only resolve until the next big storm he told me about Alternative Roofing and said that other people in the neighborhood have used them also and are very happy with the long term results. I called them and they came and assessed the problem plus I showed them some areas where the seams were coming apart a little and causing a leak in the bathroom ceiling. Additionally, the corner flap of the roof had flown up. The price that they sent was really good for all of the repair work. I called in another company and the price that they offered was much more and that price only included the gutter repair. After more than a year of searching and contacting 17 different roofers, with no luck, getting a response or actually showing up when scheduled, I contacted Alternative Roofing, learning about them from my local NPR radio station. Every aspect of the communication, scheduling and getting the work completed was what I hope for. Being an early 19th century 3 story row house, the job of replacing the front gutter was more complex than most suburban houses. Not only was it very high off the ground, but the way the old gutter was attached had to be changed and my gutter shares the same down spout as my neighbors. None of these problems slowed down the process. City property owners often find dealing with repair companies more difficult than our suburban neighbors , as many repair companies are not familiar with old brick row houses.
