We had been told by three other companies that we needed to replace our heat pump and that the cost to repair it would not be worth it. The sales rep from SM Mechanical came out and took a look. He said that most likely they could repair the system instead of replacing it. The owner/tech came out a few days later and within 5 minutes was able to identify a bad breaker switch and replaced it for us. Instead of the $12,000 the other three companies wanted to charge us for a new system SM Mechanical only charged us $385 to replace the part and had diagnosed it, gotten the necessary part and had the system up and running normal again within 2 hours. They know what they are doing when it comes to repairs and whilr they could have been like others and tried to sell us a replacement system, I really appreciate their honesty and effort to repair our system first instead of stealing our money. Wow- this company was great!! We are very pleased w/the service, and recommend this company highly. They were honest, professional, and did high-quality work on the installation of our new steam boiler. Brad came out quickly and gave us a fair and reasonable bid on the work. After receiving a couple of additional bids on the work, we decided to go with SM Mechanical, and we are thrilled w/our decision because they were able to schedule us quickly and did a beautiful job with the installation. We unfortunately had a not-so-great experience with a different HVAC company prior to trusting our job with SM Mechanical, so it was refreshing and reassuring to feel that we were in honest and capable hands throughout this process. SM Mechanical did an outstanding job when we really needed help with our heating. They responded very quickly and efficiently found the problem and fixed it in no time. Instead of having to replace a bunch of parts and search for hours for the solution, it was fixed and back in service in minutes.
