We needed drywall repairs after having new lighting installed. Mr.Handyman responded quickly with a quote. They had the lowest price out of the 3 quotes I obtained. Called for a quote for three things: recaulking my walk in shower, repairing our door frame, and replacing an outdoor hose spigot. Initial person I spoke with was helpful, looked over the photos and gave me a quote. Everything after that was downhill. I received a call a few days before informing me that we shouldn't use that shower for 24 hours before and we wouldn't be able to use it for 24 hours after. I had assumed it they would bring a fan or something to speed up the process, if I had known it was going to take up the same amount of time it would have taken for me to do it, I would have said no. I canceled that part of the service, and during that discussion the scheduler said that she thought the job would still take the same amount of time for the other projects. When I asked her why, she said that she hadn't had access to the photos when we initially scheduled, and she didn't realize the extent of the damage to the door frame. Felt like the technician purposely wasted time. He took about 6 phone calls and stopped working every time. While I understand this can be very difficult I would have an appreciated a more accurate quote. Technician was not friendly or very respectful. The work he did looked good, but I do wish the entire experience was better. Edit. Company offered to repay me back for the time the technician was on his phone. I would also like to note that yes, the at the start of the job the technician have me low and high numbers for the estimate (both wrong).
