Main Street Electric Company Inc.

The owner of Main Street Electric came to our home to replace two outdoor electrical boxes. He spent 2 1/2 hours working on this. Much of that time was spent walking back and forth to his truck (multiple times), and at least a half hour was spent telling us about what is code and what is not. Of course he charged us for the time he spent telling us about a bunch of electrical jargon that we didn't need to hear. He charged us the going rate per hour for the work provided. However, he also charged us double for all of the parts and wiring used on the job. I looked up the parts, as indicated on the invoice, and found that most were at least double the purchase price (as compared to the prices indicated on Amazon, Lowe's, and Home Depot) . In addition, the other work that I wanted performed, he said he couldn't do until October because it is too hot right now to get up into the attic. Really? So I can't have my ceiling fan fixed because it is too hot for him to do the work. Not exactly wha
