Our furnace went out in the middle of winter and the guys were able to put in a new unit the same day. Later in the summer when our a/c went out and we thought we were in for a big bill, they came in and for a very reasonable amount were able to fix it and even told us about how we could submit the bill to our home warranty for reimbursement.
