R-Mech Heating Plumbing Cooling

I called to setup the A/C inspection and they scheduled it from 1-5PM about a week later. The morning of the inspection I called to verify the time and they had no record of the booking. Luckily they were able to schedule it for that afternoon still. Tech called he was on his way and about 30 minutes away, however he went to the completely wrong address. After waiting another half an hour for him he arrived. He didn't bring a ladder, so he didn't inspect my interior air handler at all and didn't bring anything to clean the coils with outside so they didn't get cleaned either. He also didn't point out that I was missing the insulation on my refrigerant lines. Wasn't worth the fight at the time to contest the charge for the work not being done so I just paid the $69 and will not be using R Mech again. Then a couple days later I get an invoice in my email for a property that wasn't mine they were trying to charge me for even though I had already paid for mine. Seemed really sketchy. I imm

R Mech would not back the product that they installed over a year ago for a new construction home. They said that their warranty only lasts one year yet they would not respond to service. They had a poor installation that caused the HVAC unit to sound like a washing machine was out of balance banging too loud and would prevent us from sleeping at night. When we asked for service we had to give a credit card up front although this is a brand new home and should not sound like that. I am sure like all the other reviews it will say we did get 1700 reviews by doing bad service, but if you have a new construction home install done you will have to find someone else to actually get the work completed. A/C repair was $275. Put in new capacitor. Fan was not turning. After some physical help it started, I paid the bill, ran till repairman was about 2 blocks down the street. IF I had bought a new system from them it would have come off my cost of that. I did not get a new unit through R-MECH. Estimator for new system cost; I thought he was very knowledgeable and quite helpful explaining everything as he went along. He gave a thorough estimate. Appreciate it. Service: A/C system repair
