Affordable Handyman Service

Rude! This guy came to replace 2 fence gates on an old privacy fence and was not shy about letting us know how inconvenient the job was. Not just to me but my wife and son. They left the trash in the yard nails up, left screws poking out, used interior drywall screws, and halfway installed the latching hardware. Sent a very friendly email addressing the items, received a rude response to deal with it. So what else can I do but leave an appropriate review. Class A crapsmanship! They are not affordable at all. They wanted to charge me $500 to paint about 15 feet of baseboards, $250 to nail 3 planks back up on a fence. Planks there. $500 to clean gutters and wash of roof of an 1100 sq ft small house. So $1250.00 and I had to buy the paint lol. I had other things on my punch list but they didn't quote me on those. It would be added on. The reps was very rude on the phone and online. When I expressed my astonishment at the price for 3 items they told me to get someone else that they weren't interested and told me to do it myself. I explained I was handicapped and could not and told them they're rude. I never heard back from them. I would advise not to use this company as they overcharge and have no appreciation for the customer.

I always try to do business with local, mom and pop-type outfits. This company quoted $250 to replace a dryer vent cover. (a dryer vent costs about $7 and it takes about 10 minutes to remove an old one and install a new one properly, and I would do it myself if I was near the property.). That price is insane and even a large, franchise type company, that is insured, bonded, has w2 employees, and is top notch, high end, doesn't charge that. I am absolutely dumb-founded, shocked, and disappointed. There are PLENTY of large and small "handyman" (handy person) companies and insured handy individuals who do not charge like this. A general handy company or insured handy individual will charge $50-$150, at most, for this service call. If you order the part and have it delivered, beforehand, so the handy person doesn't have to pick it up, (this is not an emergency service, so that's the easiest thing to do), might even cost less.
