Derrick is truly a Jack of all trades - he has done several projects for me and is the first person I contact when I need something done around the house. From changing outdoor light fixtures and hanging ceiling fans to a complete room renovation (drywall, trim, paint) to building a beautiful custom barn door, he knows how to do it all and does it well - and if he feels like he can’t do it just right, he has relationships with those with the expertise. That wherewithal is priceless! I can’t recommend him enough. I feel like we totally lucked out when his business was the first that I happened to contact. Definitely worth your trust. Derrick and his helper, Frank, competently and carefully removed our old, broken (and heavy) attic pulldown stairs and replaced them with a new set of aluminum stairs. The installation was done quickly and efficiently. They arrived during a very messy winter day yet the work area was cleaned thoroughly. My wife and I plan to use Derrick in the future for other projects around our home.
We’ve been using The Handyman (Derrick and team) for years. They do great work for reasonable prices. Equally important is integrity. The are responsive and honest. He does was he says he’s going to do within the stated timeline. I have a lot of experience in working with contractors and I would strongly recommend this company for general construction/repairs.
