We spent $20k in mini-split and swamp cooler upgrades with Anderson in the last 2 years. At the start of this summer’s heatwave, I noticed a part (solenoid valve) of our swamp cooler was cracked and leaking heavily. I confirmed the replacement part (~$25) is available at a local supplier, but they will only sell to contractors. The install itself takes no more than 1 minute - you unplug and unscrew the old part and screw in the new part and plug it in. No tools needed. The swamp cooler manufacturer confirmed the part was under warranty and cheap but said I should work through the installer. I called Anderson, told them what the issue was, and exactly which part needed replacing. I asked them if they could bring the part when they come so we can use our swamp cooler asap. They told me they cannot do that, they have to confirm the issue independently first. A week later the technician came, confirmed the same issue.
