Crown Heating and Cooling replaced the oil furnace in my 100+ year old home with a heat pump. The crew that did the install did an amazing job. They left the job site cleaned and made sure everything was working. The technician walked me through the general maintenance of the unit from cleaning out the drain to changing the filter. Had sign of a water leak coming from upstairs laundry room and called plumbing division at Crown ( D& A Plumbing). I’m leaving this review to warn consumers of price gouging from this company. First, we were charged $100 for the service call itself. Then charged $126 per hour plus any parts needed for repairs. The technician also created 4 HUGE holes in walls to “find the leak”. After 2 1/2 hours he “couldn’t find a leak in drains or pipes. Weird, huh?” He then spent over 30 minutes writing up a detailed bill… of NOT finding or FIXING the leak. I asked at that point, “am I being charged while you write?” To which he replied, “Yes, sorry!” At this point I am LIVID. I was charged a total of $579 dollars in labor for a job that didn’t even find or fix the problem. To add insult to injury, the managers now won’t answer my voicemails to ask about these billing practices. The technician was nice and polite but he essentially works for a company literally ripping off the local community with
