My roof needed many repairs, or a replacement. I got estimates from a couple other roofers that weren’t nearly as thorough as Rip City. They helped me make a good decision and gave me many options. They came and replaced my roof, and found some dry rot underneath a portion of it. It extended the project a little bit but the final cost was very near the original quote. Choosing Rip City was the best decision I have made about my home improvement/repair projects. They came highly recommended by friends and so I included them in the three bids I sent out. Their quote was the lowest and most detailed. Arnold Avalos also answered all my questions and I awarded him the contract. As they removed the old cedar shake shingles we discovered that the original contractor did not put down a water barrier underneath so the original plywood had a lot of dry rot in addition to constant leaks. Arnold had to replace much of the plywood at a time that the cost of lumber sky rocketed. When the work was completed, inspected and everything was meticulously cleaned up, I braced myself for the final bill. I was surprised when it came, but the surprise was all very pleasant.
