We are pleased with the service we received from Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. The office was easy to communicate with, the technician was courteous and professional, the prices were fair, the install was smooth, and the explanations of the work done were thorough. Thank you, BFP!

BEWARE. We called Benjamin Franklin plumbing on a Sunday due to a clogged pipe. They came out to the house and their service technician spent less than an hour there. He quoted us $1200 to replace the pipes for a clog and left. We called another plumber who came out the same day and for $100 unclogged the pipe. Our bill from Benjamin Franklin plumbing was $430 when their plumber was not able to complete the job another one did. $129 of that was the service call which we were happy to pay, but the remainder was for the work they were not able to complete. When we asked them to meet us in the middle on pricing, they were unwilling to do so. they said that since we signed for the work we were on the hook for it – even though their plumber didn't fix the problem and another plumber did. We offered to show them the invoice from the other plumber indicating he was successfully able to do the job, but they said that wasn't necessary. the service i received by the 2 servicemen was excellent...however, the labor cost for that service is absolutely ludicrous....they took approximately 3 hours to remove the old water heater and install the new heater unit....and your labor charge was $1450.00!....that's almost $500.00/hour.....lawyers don't even charge that....i realize this was what you considered an emergency situation, but this seems more like price gouging to me...you can rest assured that i will not recommend your company to anyone that needs your services...not because the service is was bad, but because your prices are ridiculous.....and i have checked around with other companies....
