Berkeley Heating & Air Conditioning

Would give this company 0 stars if I could. Had a maintenance service scheduled, unit was working fine previously(new units has been installed 2.5 years), after technician left, heat strips mysteriously came on and it was 85 inside, never had an issue before this. Called Berkeley heating and air back out, turns out their technician touches 2 wires by accident and shorted the heat strips out(according to there senior tech). Service manager and Gordon(the owner) did not charge to go back and fix there problem they created which is great and expected, however continued to argue that they didn't cause the issues and does not take responsibility for there mistakes. I will never use them again and would not recommend. This is not the first time I have had shotty work done by them. Similar experience to previous reviews when it comes to issues arising and accountability.

When our 23 year old system refused to perform, we called Berkeley for repairs. After inspection, they advised it had seen its last use. (We contacted two other companies for quotes on replacement). Berkeley was not the cheapest, but more than competitive, and certainly the most responsive. Their staff was superior to others, and in todays work environment, this is a real plus. (Had previously done inspection). Complete new unit, installed without any problems including new thermostat (covered old holes in wall) and left the area clean. Installed a screen over fan blades to catch some of the leaves etc falling from our 3 Oak Trees. New Duct cover from unit to inside duct constructed on site, Amazing workmanship. If you want a company that provides a fair cost, actually shows up and does the work, Berkeley is the company to try. Steve and Mary Services: Install thermostat, Install AC

Had problems with one of the units and Berkley sent a tech on the weekend. Alex the tech figured out the problem and fixed our ac in no time. Very happy with Berkley and five stars for Alex.
