Mr. Electric of Columbia

Had a great experience with Alex Smith of Mr. Electric as my electrician. He explained everything that needed to be done, walked me through the various issues, and was very thorough in his work. I was so pleased with the service that I signed up for their membership plan. Safe to say that I now have an electrician should I need one. I would certainly do business with again - and would ask for Alex specifically. He was outstanding.

If I could give a 0 I would. These people WAY over charge for their work!!!! I had a small chandelier type light that was going in a back stairwell. Was told it would take 4-5 hours to install and would cost $800. I was shocked at the price, but had no choice as it was in a stairwell. Based on the estimate of 4-5 hours I did the math and figured $160-200 an hour for an electrician. Since the light was smaller than anticipated, it only took the electrician 2 hours to install and I was even told it was simpler than they anticipated. I asked if there was a reduction in the price as it was not as hard as they originally anticipated and I was told NO. The day before the appointment I had several calls from Amy at Mr. Electric and was told her technicians had completed their tasks faster than anticipated and they could come by sooner. I needed to hire an Professional Electrician, but I never use one before. I researched online and decided to call Mr. Electric of Columbia. Needless to say, I was a little nervous and appreciative. Once Tucker Norton of Mr. Electric arrived and went through and did all his safety checks and thoroughly explained everything to me I felt more at ease. There was no pressure sales tactic, just a Professional explanation on proper safety on my home. We made an appointment the next day to have all the work done. Tucker was extremely Professional and completed his work up to code with SC&G and the Safety Inspectors. He was friendly and courtesy and mostly Respectful of myself and my Home. I would highly recommend this company and Tucker Norton in the future.
