I contacted Douglas about the install of a steel, storm door to replace an out dated aluminum door that was slowly being destroyed by my beloved pit bull mix. Bothered by the recent, stormy weather, he has been chewing on the aluminum frame. Douglas came by to survey the job and make sure we had all the proper materials for the job. He came on install day as scheduled and knocked it out of the park. He encountered a couple of obstacles but that didn't deter him. The finished product went well beyond my expectations. Not only was the new door extremely functional (for my dog as well as myself), but it was aesthetically perfect. Douglas was extremely professional, courteous and mindful of my wishes. He completed this job in a timely manner, not rushing but making sure it was done correctly. Very knowledgeable, friendly and experienced. My only regret is that I didn't hire him sooner. The price he charged was way beyond reasonable for the amount of work, professionalism and experience ,

I rarely write reviews but as Doug is such a rare commodity in the home services industry I felt compelled to do so. He is everything you could hope for in a contractor and so much more; his professionalism and honesty are beyond reproach. I have a rental property in New Braunfels that needed immediate repairs and Doug said that he would do everything possible to fit the service call in the very same day. The tenant was responsible for calling Doug to set the appointment time, but I received a text from Doug late that afternoon that he still had not been contacted. I had no prior relationship with Doug, but he took the responsibility on his own shoulders to keep me apprised of the situation with the tenant. You will not find many tradesmen today who would go out of their way for someone who is not yet a customer. I reached out to Doug and he was very responsive. He showed up right when he said he would, and that was great! He was able to quickly figure out what caused the problem and how to fix it. He was polite, helpful, and cleaned up before leaving.
