I was in need for a capacitor for my home AC central air system. I found these guys and went to the store to buy one. Bought it, brought it home and had it installed. The part was bad. The repairman checked the capacitor with a meter and showed me the reading which was bad. I took the part back to r&m for an exchange. They refused. I told them the capacitor was bad. He asked if I had checked it with a meter when I bought it, before I left the store. I said, I don't know how to do that, I bought the part I was told to buy. I didn't know I had to buy a meter and check it, being that it's a 'new' part. They said too bad. Refused to give me a refund or replacement. Now imagine if I had bought an evaporator coil for $1,800 and once installed turned out to have a leak induce the unit. I could only imagine them asking me if I checked it before I left the store.
