We contracted Motex for a home remodel in 2022. They were extremely professional and genuinely care about their clients. If there was ever a bump (which is to be expected) they made sure that communication and expectations were clear and guided us in the right direction. The project manager was on the scene daily with a happy face and good sense of humor. And when Blake was needed without a doubt he would be there which says a lot about him as the owner. I know we weren’t their biggest project but he still cared about the quality of the work and happiness of his clients. And of course when the unexpected happened and we needed to pivot they ensured we were still able to achieve the design we had envisioned. They really did their best to make sure we were happy. They finished more than 6 months ago and still follow up with us on a few things that changed because of weather/seasons. After our detached garage and part of our historic home were destroyed in a fire, Blake, Tom and Chuy helped us navigate a complicated rebuilding process during the lockdowns and supply chain uncertainties with professionalism and an abundance of grace, consideration, patience, and good humor. Blake has good judgement, vision, and can really problem-solve an old house. It's a beautiful thing to watch. There were hiccups, as in any remodel, but Blake consistently made things right and bore with us in our ignorance and inexperience. The new detached shop and carport are truly lovely, (who says that about a carport?), matching the period of the house, and the attic conversion that gave us a new staircase in our living room and additional bedrooms and a bath tucked into the eaves draws both surprise and compliments: Surprise that the stunning oak staircase isn't original to the home, and compliments on the spaciousness and quality of the work. we didn't wind up using Blake. We're investors so we're much more price sensitive than someone building to occupy. Even though we didn't wind up using Blake he took the time to suggest quite a few changes to our design to get the costs down. His suggestions wound up saving us $60k and now our project is back on track. If he would do that for a complete stranger imagine how well he'll take care of a paying customer. A-Class operation in my book.
