The service reps were punctual, helpful and completed the service quickly. No complaints there at all. The price was pretty outrageous - $650 to replace a backflow preventer. That's a $150-$200 part and is 15-30 minutes of labor. I definitely wouldn't recommend them for any repair that can reasonably be done yourself.

So I got a little bugged looking at the invoice as they sent two techs for a one tech job and they charge $85 per hour EACH. So really, they charge $170 per hour. Second, they send two “kids” that couldn’t collectively of had all but two years combined experience in the field. They tell me everything’s working great—issues fixed. Here’s your bill for $350 for 1.5 hours of work+parts. I walk out to my side yard two days later and that station isn’t even kicking on. I call them, tell them it’s not working and ask if they’re going to make it right because I’m not paying another dime. They tell me the tech would call. Their way of making it right was to have the young man who couldn’t fix it in the first place, ask me a bunch of random questions about the work they did. I said forget it and at this point I’m just going to dispute the charge with my bank. Usually when you pay high dollar for something like this they at least have good service—not here. Two of my zones wouldn’t shut off and the kid that came out was nice and was doing his best but he clearly didn’t know what he was doing he was on the phone the whole time and then informed me after an hour that I needed to replace my valve box and that would be around $900. I was then charged $140 for the visit. That didn’t sit right with me so we had another guy from a different company come out repair the problem and said there is absolutely no reason you would need to replace your box. This other guy fixed the problem in a half hour and charge roughly the same price. The kid was nice but I would never use Sprinkler Master Repair again felt like a waste of $140.
