C L Carter Heating & Air Conditioning

I've had an HVAC service contract with CL Carter for about 1.5 years now. It was the absolute most affordable and best value out there. My A/C has been on it's "last leg" for a few years now (it's 18 years old) so it's been on borrowed time for a while. It finally died about 10 days ago. Mr. Carter was able to get his installation team out ahead of schedule so the new upgraded system has just been installed. They also installed another return in the hall, which has significantly (much to my surprise) improved the air flow/temperature in the 4 bedrooms upstairs. While they were here, my water heater broke and they installed a new one as well. On both projects, the workmanship was exceptional. I am so pleased. Admittedly, Mr. Carter was not the cheapest. However, unlike the previous company/people I used they did the work to meet the city codes/requirements. The City of Chesapeake inspector came and inspected the work and approved both projects with just a minor change. I've encountered

Just upgraded our Trane gas pack with a new unit. Couldn't be happier with the price, service and professionalism of everyone at C L Carter. I highly recommend them.

These guys are really expensive with their "diagnostic fee" of $149 not applying to the repair costs. I'll NEVER use these guys again. I feel like anyone else would be cheaper and better. It's HVAC, not rocket science.
