Stemmle Plumbing Repair

I recently purchased a home in Richmond and the entire house was renovated including the plumbing inside the home. I started to have problems flushing my toilet or having an overflow when doing laundry. I started out with a "do it yourself" everything contractor and had no success. I decided to bite the bullet and call a reputable plumbing company. I first called Michael and Sons and they were unable to diagnose the problem on the first trip. They were charging around $700 to roto root my pipes. We finally determined that the problem was not inside the house but outside and the main sewer line was full of roots. Well, their quote was over $13K. I decided to get a second opinion and called Stemmle. I am SO glad that I did. Kudos to a super nice tech named Jorge Perez. We were due for a routine septic tank cleanout. After a quick comparison of reviews from the various companies in the area I decided to give them a call. A woman quickly answered the phone and was able to promptly give me a quote which was reasonable and competitive. I had half expected the price to have been a bit higher given gas prices as of late, so I was more than agreeable when that didn't seem to be the case. We were given a choice of days, and a 4 hour window for the work. They called ahead of time to confirm day of, and showed up as expected. Nothing crazy - we try to do well with routine maintenance and septic care. That said, I really appreciated their tech Jorge taking the time to talk with me about everything and let me look over his shoulder to see and learn first hand. The technicians were very courteous and informative, and were able to perform same day service when I called. Jorge was very nice to deal with and they cleaned out our septic tank and prevented a back up in a timely manner, which saved us a lot of problems! I highly recommend this company and will use them again.
