This review is long overdue. I contact multi contractors about building a garage. Herb was great with helping me figure out what would work best for my property and getting the garage approved thru the city of hampton. I had a few changes that were made before and during the build process. Herb and his crew were great at accommodating all these changes. I not always the easiest person to deal with because I can be picky about things The new garage more than meet my expectations. Colony is by far the best contractor I dealt with and would use them in the future. Recommend them to anyone looking to have a structure built. Service: General construction

My husband coordinated time to get off of work to meet an estimator at our house. The estimator did show up on the day and time that the estimate was scheduled and was very pleasant. However, we never received a quote for the work that we wanted completed. I called the office to follow-up and was told I would receive a call the next day, but never received a call. We were very ready to spend the money we had saved up for the improvements but ended up going with another company. It's disappointing because the pictures I've seen of Colony's work looks very well done. It's also frustrating as a customer to take time out of work to meet someone at your house and it end up being a waste of time. At the least a courtesy call saying, "we're working on your estimate, it's just taking more time than expected," would be nice. I'm giving my review 2 stars and not 1 since the estimator was nice and actually showed up at the scheduled time.

It's taken me 1 year since my exterior remodeling to write this review. I had the my old, yellow, drab siding stripped off, along with the stained brown roof, and replace by Colony Constrution and Colony Roofing. In additon, I had the entire house wrapped in low-E insulation, had all the trimmed wrapped in metal, new french doors on two sides of the house, and got new porch rails. I had a new back deck built, and a stamped concrete patio. In the year it's taken me to write this review, I have not had a single call-back. Nothing has needed to be fixed. Herb's crew did an amazing job. The roof was done a day ahead of schedule. The crews usually showed up early. The even did some work that I had not expected that needed to be done once some old trim had been removed, and did so for a very reasonable price. I am completely satisified with Colony and highly recommend them. I've posted a before-photo, and some afters.
