I had booked an appointment for Wednesday, July 19 for service. The window was from 8am to 12pm. I stayed home all day and did my work via Zoom calls. By 11:30am, when they had not arrived, I got worried as I needed to head downtown. So, I called Roto-Rooter to ask if they are still on their way. The person who answered said that the appointment was cancelled because I had not answered by phone when they call to confirm again. She also claimed that they left me a voicemail. This is not true. There had been a call earlier in the morning that I could not answer as I was working, but no voicemail was left. It is bad enough that one must wait for 4 hours for them to come, but now you had better be doing NOTHING else and be ready to answer their phone call, despite having a reservation already. I explained my frustration and they didn't care. Just said that was their policy. Fair enough. I just advise against anyone doing business with a company like this.
