R.A. Woodall Roofing

My wife and I moved to Williamsburg in 2019, and when going through the process of purchasing our home we knew that within a year we would need to replace the roof on our home. As any job of this type would require, we sought several quotes from area roofers and settled on R.A. Woodall & Son Contracting, Inc. We selected this company for a number of reasons, but foremost was the professionalism of Allan and his team. In providing their estimate of the job, I was provided a thorough explanation of what would take place, materials to be used, and precautions that would be taken to protect my home and surrounding landscaping. There was no sales pressure or B.S. offered like some companies. R.A. Woodall & Son Contracting provided good, honest work, at a reasonable price. Communication throughout the project was exemplary, and Allan himself stopped by on multiple occasions to personally ensure the job was being done right. The installer (Butch) of our two skylights was great, this complaint is about the owner - Alan Woodall. He was very unresponsive and lied to me about when the skylights would be installed. When we paid the 50% deposit Alan said the job would be started within 2 1/2 weeks, which was important because we had interior painting scheduled, and wanted the skylights installed before the painters started. Otherwise, if Alan had said his company was too busy, I would have simply used another roofing company. Alan did not send the installer until 45 days after the deposit was paid. Several times I reminded Alan about having the skylights installed before the interior painting, but he did not respond to my emails. After the skylights were installed, there was a small amount of interior trim work required, which the installer said they could do, but Alan did not let them install the trim. Alan would not even give us an estimate for the trim installation, and we finally gave up on RA Woodall

Nancy and I would like to thank Alan Woodall, Butch and Nathan for a great job in replacing our almost flat roof above our 4 seasons room. Not only does the rubber membrane roof look great but the clean-up and after installation services were of the highest quality. The installers literally worked their butts off to make sure this was a high-quality job completed on time. We also solicited multiple bids and R.A. Woodall Roofing gave us the best value. So, all in all, a great job at the best value. We couldn't be happier.
