Alta Pest Control

Tech schedules are tight. I missed my appointment due to communication error and then faced a reschedule. Special consideration was made by supervisor and tech to return. I received full quarterly service that same day. I know that I caused an inconvenience but Alta did not make me feel that way. They were gracious and did a good job with a smile. I feel valued and do recommend them for pest control.

Get a second opinion if you get a quote from this company. I initiated their services for the perimeter of our home to rid of spiders, ants, etc. They then called me and offered a free inspection of our crawl space/attic. The technician (who I later found out was their salesperson) informed me we had a severe rat infestation in our crawl space and we needed to replace the insulation there and in our attic as the rats had been moving through there as well. He even told me there was a dead rat upon entry to our crawl space. The price was going to be $19k for the work. He said this was a “must” and that they needed to do this job right away as the damage was really bad. When the staff came to start the job a couple days later, the lead worker had a different description of what was going on in the crawl space and could not replicate the same pictures. SCAM/FRAUD ALERT My experience with Alta Pest Control was anything but professional or pleasant. They attempted to scam us out of $20K by fabricating claims of a rodent infestation in my family’s home. This deceitful behavior is unethical, unprofessional and possibly criminal. My wife and I were existing customers with Alta when they offered a free crawl-space and attic inspection which we took them up on. After the inspection the salesperson proceeded to tell my wife that we a had severe rodent infestation and would need immediate work done for our family’s health and safety. We were given a quote just under $20K and were pushed to the front of the line, and Alta would have a crew out immediately to resolve our emergent problem. The day of the service, which would include removing and replacing all of our insulation Alta shows up in a tiny pickup.
