I have been a long term Customer and have used Roto Rooter for my own home, business, and rental homes. In recent interactions I have seen a change that is unsettling. The last call was for a clog where the basement drain was clogged and I asked the tech to take extra time if needed to run a snake down the main drain line to make we would not have roots or obstruction in the near future. I knew if I went over the first hour that I would pay hourly for additional time. The Tech Boosted what should have $310 plus $140 hourly to $560 by changing the base charge to a higher base rate plus the hourly rate. After I complained of High Grading and asking to talk to the Manager the rate was dropped to $480 which still charged me for a full extra hour even though the total time was 1and a half hours. If companies get greedy and forget the loyalty of their long term clients it signals the beginning of the end for their business. Roto Rooter charges premium rates and should be able to make

We had them come out and fix a toilet/tub clog. I was left completely SHOCKED at how unprofessional the technician was. Super condescending until he realized a man also lived with me in our house. Whole attitude changed upon talking with my fiancé who luckily came home during his lunch at my request because I didn’t feel comfortable having the technician in our house. On top of it, the whole experience was about an hour and a half, not much was found and he decided to write it up for an ASTRONOMICAL amount for what he did. I work with the public daily, I have never treated any of my clients the way I was treated. Especially if I were to go in to their homes! . I am not one to write bad reviews either unless they are completely warranted. This one is. Do not recommend! Especially if a man is not on the premises, no reason to ever be put in a position like I was. And if you can, look for quotes elsewhere because this place is a total rip off. Service: Shower repair
