Golden State Roofing

I let Golden State Roofing owner Gabriel Martinez to initiate work on my roof to stop it from leaking. But it is still leaking to this day. He promised to do it within 2 weeks, but he started on October 10, 2017 and he still has not finished because it is still leaking. He said he has five workers that will finish the job within 2 weeks. I paid in advance $22,000 (80%) with a check, he cashed the check, and I kicked them out on February 2, 2018 because the State Board said he has a suspended license. His partner Rudy Reyna is also a crook. They are writing bad reviews on my business because they say I have not paid them for the job: the job they have not finished. I have a few witnesses. They worked for him and they never stopped the leak. Their whole team was a fail. We filed a complaint against Gabriel and Rudy to the State Board, and to the Bond Co.. As a long time property Manager, I have used several different roofing companies and thus far Golden State Roofing has been the absolute best. Not only are they extremely professional, but also very accommodating and deliver everything that they promise plus more. They have replaced several roofs for me and each time have met expectations above and beyond. I am very happy to have retained their services and will continue to do business with them.

For the past 5 months I have been going back and forth with Rudy, trying to get my roof repaired from a leak I experienced in January. The first time I called,he assured me that someone from his crew would call me back to set up an appointment to come out and look at my roof. When I never heard back from anyone, I called Rudy again, and he was very apologitic. He eventually came by and promised to get back to me with an estimate. Again, I never heard back from him, so I called him back again. He apologized yet again, came out a second time, and assured me that after the Fourth of July holiday someone would come back and do the repairs. While he was up on my roof, he took down a tarp that the restoration guys had put up to cover the exposed holes and said that I didn't need it anymore. Shortly after he took it down, we noticed a lot of scattering noises up in our attic.
