Southland Heating & Air Conditioning

I originally gave this company and Eric Hernandez a 5 star review. Now I am changing this review. Southland first visit told me the condenser fan motor is defective. A new one from Carrier May cost from $850-900 but he will check price and get back to me. With this high cost, I wanted to check how much the electric motor should be on Amazon. It was $150 on Amazon. The motor was mounted by four screws and takes less than 30 minutes to install. I decided to DIY. Southland quoted $650 to replace the motor. Once I installed the new motor, the same problem occurred. Fan would not turn when the compressor was on. With a little push on the fan, the motor will run. So I decided to research this further on internet. Everyone suggested the most likely cause is the capacitor. Eric Hernandez, the technician from Southland said since the capacitor looked fine from outside so no need to check it, it must be the motor. I purchased a new capacitor from Amazon for $20 and installed it mysel

It took Robert 10 minutes to diagnose the problem with my air conditioning compressor that two technicians from other companies had misdiagnosed. The diagnosis made sense. It was explained well to me. I am happy that I called Southland air-conditioning to fix my Lennox air conditioner. Update: Robert and Michael returned and installed parts ordered from Lennox. My system is working great and keeping us cool in the 100 degree plus heat. Work was performed successfully and at quoted price. Thank you so much.

Matt was exceptional.
